George Chamberlin: Walmart Unveils Plans for Campus Style Headquarters

When you think about companies building new large headquarters the first names that come to mind are tech companies along the West Coast like Apple and Amazon. Well, add Walmart to the list.

The world’s largest retailer announced it will replace its current facility in Bentonville, Arkansas, with a new campus spread over 300 acres and employ 17,000 workers. It’s the same location where Sam Walton started the company in 1962.

Love it or hate it, Walmart is an amazing company that has successfully expanded from a brick and mortar operation to compete with Amazon.com with its online operations. The company said this new facility will play a big role in hiring and retailing employees.
