Felicity Huffman's Unexpected Performance in College Cheating Scandal

She probably wasn’t acting as she cried in court as she pleaded guilty in the college admissions cheating scandal.

Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman probably never imagined that she would be appearing on a national stage in front of a federal judge and all those lights cameras she walked out of court.

The Hollywood star had just fessed up and admitted to paying an alleged fraudster in Newport Beach 15-thousand dollars to rig her daughter’s SAT test.

And now instead of planning for her next TV show appearance, she may have to make plans to spend several months in prison.

Legal experts say Felicity Huffman may get no prison time and instead be sentenced to house arrest or electronic monitoring as her sentence along with a fine bigger than she paid to cheat for her kid.

But there are plenty of people who are saying she should get time behind bars.

And that all of the 30 some parents who paid up to several hundred thousands of dollars to have the guy who ran the cheating ring lie and cheat for them to get their kids in elite colleges and universities should spend time locked up.

These were rich parents who had the means to pay for it and apparently the will to do wrong in order to make sure that their kids got into fancy schools and that their ego was satisfied as parents who didn’t mind their kids not having to work for it like every other kid.

If this were not all so sad, it might make a riveting TV drama. But as it is, it’s all real. And that often means when you do the crime you do the time.
