Chula Vista Woman Recovering From Home Invasion

A 78 year old Chula Vista woman continues to recover from injuries suffered during a home invasion Monday morning, September 10th, and police need help finding the suspect.

Chula Vista Police Lieutenant Dan Peak tells KOGO News the woman was knocked unconscious by a man who got into the house through a door from the garage.

It happened in the 200 block of "L" Street just after ten Monday morning.

The woman told police when she got home, she forgot to close the garage door, and walked out to the back yard. 

When she came back into the house a couple minutes later, she felt an arm on her shoulder and woke up on the floor. She was taken to the hospital with severe bruising and swelling on her face and a cut on her arm.

Peak says they hope someone may have seen something.

The suspect is described a white, short, stocky male, possibluy i his 30's. clean cut hair weawring matching light colored clothing
