Worst of Incoming California Storm Expected to Miss San Diego County

A storm expected to drop several inches of rain on parts of Central and Southern California over the next two days will mostly miss San Diego County ... though some rain is expected here tonight through tomorrow. 

Parts of the North County have already seen some very light showers overnight ... but the heaviest rain here will likely arrive Thursday night. The National Weather Service forecast a 20 percent chance of rain today for areas west of the mountains ... with a 40 to 50 percent chance of rain early tomorrow and a 70 percent chance tomorrow night. 

High temperatures today will be 67 to 72 degrees at the beaches ... 72 to 77 inland ... 73 to 78 in the western valleys and near the foothills ... 65 to 72 in the mountains and 83 to 88 in the deserts.
