The number of flu cases in San Diego have jumped to their highest level in 8 years according to San Diego County health officials.
An estimated 3200 people have been diagnosed with the flu virus, with ten reported deaths. Dr. Nick Yphantides, County Chief Medical Office, says the fatality rate this year is higher than we're accustomed to seeing at this point in the season.
The County Health Department suggests that everyone six months of age and older get a flu shot.
Flu shots are available at Doctor's offices, pharmacies and county health clinics.
