One man is in custody, but four are still on the loose after an armed carjacking and police chase in Vista. It happened just before 3:00a.m. on West Los Angeles Drive, where Sheriff's officials say five armed, masked men approached a car, pointed a gun at the driver and demanded his keys, wallet and cellphone.
The men took off in the stolen car, but when deputies started following them, they sped away, leading officers on a one mile chase. It ended when the car crashed into a garage. Four of the men ran away. One man, 19-year-old Miguel Pimental, was arrested. Police are still investigating the incident.
